Autumn is here!

I feel like a lot has happened since our last post but really life seems a bit fuller with 2 little ones around.  We have been doing a lot of normal life and that is busy enough.

We had a nice visit from our friends Ken and Joan Smith.  The live in Salem, Oregon, and Ken was the minister who married us!  They were in the middle of a European vacation and on their way to a river cruise.  It was a very nice weekend catching up and introducing them to Archie and Sylvie.

And the rest of the photos are fun pics of Archie and Sylvie.  They are growing so fast and we are enjoying every minute of it.

So tired he fell asleep sitting up!

An attempt at a photo together.

Combine the two photos, and they both are smiling.

Happy Halloween!

Halloween arrived here in Holland but.....only in a small way.  The Americans and Brits in the Moms & Tots group we go to had a Halloween party for the little ones.

I had this great plan to make Archie and Sylvie little sheep, or lambs.  I would get black tights, black long sleeved shirts, and a onsie covered in cotton batting.  Well, that would have worked back in Seattle with access to many craft stores and fabric stores.  Not so much here.  I couldn't find black tights (odd right?).  I couldn't find black t-shirts (more odd).  And I have NO idea where a fabric store would exist here.

So I improvised: Gray tights, grey shirts, and the inside "cotton" of an Ikea pillow sewn to a onsie.  Oh, and don't even ask about the cute hats with ears I would have made.

Below is the photo that they were supposed to look like:

Here is what Archie actually looked like (note: Sylvie didn't even make it into her costume!)
