First Visitors and Furniture arrives

We had a visit from Campbell's parents for a quick stay while up in Auckland.  We had a good time exploring the large museum downtown.  There was a great kids section that the kids could have been in for awhile.  We had a nice time in the park and enjoying being out.

We had a nice cup of coffee in the park while the kids ran around and climbed trees.  Some nice flat whites and good old tea to keep us warm!

Fun at a local playground near home

School has been going well.  Archie is really thriving in his new school and class.  He is loving it and doing so well.  After a big year last year with lots of challenges, it is a relief that everything is so smooth.  Sylvie is also doing well and excelling at her reading.  She loves the challenge of figuring out a story herself (with minimal help) and wants to read to us all the time.

We are lucky to have some wonderful honey here in NZ and this one is from down the street from Campbell's parents house.  They brought us some and the kids love it.  Honey on crumpets is Archie's new favorite snack.

And our furniture and life has arrived from Seattle.  The shipping container arrived and was unpacked.  It has taken us awhile but we are slowly getting it all sorted out.  After getting rid of so much stuff....we still have a lot of stuff.  I am going to try to continue to reduce our things as we can get by without most of it.

We learned what "mufti day" is.  You can wear anything you want to school, including regular clothes.  So archie dressed up as Pikachu and Sylvie just went as herself.

More scooting to school

And our darling Sylvie received a merit award from school as well.  She has done so well and is such a good kind classmate.  We are so proud of her and all her hard work.  The school has been the best part of this whole move so far.
